Documenting - Earth Day with Happy Earth Market

A few HEMbers joined Sam before opening for the day to some street clean-up around the Henderson area. We cleaned out a beautiful cacti garden along Boulder Highway, then moved down the road to an open lot and grassy area between Boulder Highway and the side road. People drove by slow, gave us thumbs up, and honked in support; we even had one man walking past stop to help.

It was nice to see the difference just a couple of people with bags could make, but there is so much out there in the desert. When you go for your evening walk take a bag and pick up some of the stuff you see. We all need to do our part.
